N3Z2 Starter On 04 RX-8?
I just have a quick question:
Will an N3Z2 Starter for an Automatic RX-8 fit my 2004 automatic model?

Are you asking if the auto starter will fit a manual transmission?
If so... its not a direct replacement.
The nose-cone is different, but in theory (because nobody that I know has verified this) you can swap the motor from the auto starter onto the nose-cone from a manual.
Really easy to do and is only two bolts.

I am talking to someone who is telling me they have an N3Z2 starter for an Automatic RX-8.
If you go to MazdaTrix, they do sell an Automatic Transmission starter, with a part number of 18-4000-N3Z2.
So what I want to know is if that is the one that the person has, would I be able to replace my starter now with that N3Z2 starter?
I drive a 2004 AT.
