would it be a better idea to get an MSD ignition or just install an HKS Twin power amp? are they the same thing or No? Also what MSD ignitions models example 6a, sport compact,... would work on the 8. as you can see I have no real knowldge of ignition upgrades. any help would be great

 

For all those who had an rx 7 -- u understand why ................ do not get an msd!!!

hks is prettier and better er! that and many have used it. Dont worry about the other reasons. ALso hks has a plug n play cable so you can instaull it yourself and not one single wire needs to be spliced.

 

there is no MSD that will plug and play work with the rx8. You will have to create your own inversion circuit like mazdamaniac did.

that and his MSD burned out quickly so he went back to stock.

Ok this may change everything..Just got some advice from tech at MSD .. This guy is a rotary nut and said he had a excellent solution that will work guaranteed. Set-up is as follows:

I'm sorry,but this looks like the way I'm gonna go now..This info provided by MSD tech was much needed
and more reliable than frankensteining it..and hoping for the best.. Sorry if this has let any members down..
