Motor Mount? Transmission Mount?
Morning, this may seem like a retarded question if so, please indulge me as I can’t get underneath the car to look until I get back home this weekend.
I’m planning on buying the RX8Performance motor mounts, as I’ve long suspected that mine have seen better days. What I’m wondering is if the trans has a rubber mount and where it’s located? If I’m upgrading the motor mounts to Poly, and the trans mount (if there is one?) is still rubber (old, worn rubber no less) I’m concerned that it would wear out quickly. I haven’t been underneath the car since I changed my cat over the summer and I honestly can’t remember. Also, a Google search gave me nothing but motor mounts.
Cheers

There is no real transmission mount. It bolts directly to what's called the "power plant frame" (PPF), which bolts directly to the differential. The differential mount becomes essentially the 3rd engine mount. Do the engine mounts first and see what happens. You won't save any time by doing both the engine and diff mounts together, since they are on opposite ends of the car.
