Sorry to bring this up. I know everyone has heard this a few times already but I am still a little confused. I just got a CEL a few days ago so I took it into Advanced Auto and read the code myself. I pops up as a P0455(large). I have been reading through old threads on how it is probably just the gas cap. I have never had mine replaced and am about to order one if need be. The reason why I am confused is because I have been reading that the needed new gas cap was due to the code reading SMALL P0455 code. Even if mine is a large could it still be the gas cap? I haven't done any major mods and have always filled up with 93 octane. Checked my vac hoses and they look good...Just wanted to hear other peoples opinions and see if anyone has had the same problem. Sorry for bringing it up again in a new thread. could still be the gas cap. When you put the gas cap back on, do you make sure it clicks 3 times? Don't over tighten, just a few clicks will do.

 

Yeah, I do make sure it clicks. When I go to fill up every now and then it will feel loose but I still have to turn it to get it to open.

 

Buy a new gas cap and your problem will be fixed...they are like 12 bucks from Rosenthal Mazda...
