Issues with rear brakes

I've been having issues with my rear brakes since I installed new HT10 pads and changed the brake fluid. It is making both rear brakes drag...and they are getting hot during normal driving.

I have checked the install, both calipers are lubed and appear to be working correctly...just seems to be dragging all the time.

Is there anything with the ABS or the proportioning valves that can be messed up by bleeding/changing fluid?

Any other ideas??

I can't believe that both calipers would be FUBAR at the exact same time...with seemingly the same problem

Are there any emergency brake cabling issues that could cause it?? I didn't change that system at all though so???

If anyone has a set of stock pads...what is the overall thickness when new...maybe the HT10's are too thick?? They did fit with no clearance issues though

Any and all help would be appreciated

Have you checked the parking brake cables - specifically the adjuster nut under the tab in the centre console?

Brake seems to be adjusted properly...I'm going to disconnect it completely and see if that works.....

I didn't change that ....so it shouldn't have changed???

Did you open up the MC when you did the install?

Maybe you have too much fluid in there on it is causing the pistons not to retract.

Or the pad thickness is too great, Then sent you the wrong parts?

Check the mech. manual it should tell you the allowable thickness.

I don't think that the pads could be too thick if they fit in....maybe I'm wrong.

I am going to rebuild both of the back calipers...and see if that helps

If the pads took a bit of effort to fit in they're probably a bit tight.

Check to make sure the installation is correct. Unlike the front, the rear pads may have an inner and outer configuration. Mine had small bumps on the back of the pad so that they would only fit flush against the caliper if the proper pad was on the outside and inside. Even though they will fit the other way, the surface of the pad might be slightly off angle to the rotor face if the pad was installed on the wrong side.

Not chance they're in wrong...I've done about 4 sets of pads...never had a problem...and I've puled it all apart and double checked it...
