Intermittent power steering going out!

Any of you Rx8-ers ever have your power steering quit working . It happened yesterday after I hit a big puddle in the rain. This is the second time this has happened . The Tech at the Mazda dealer checked the connector after it happened when The shop pressure washed the motor. Is there a weather cover over the connector? Sumpin aint right. Thanks

Arrow Bad....

Previous steering problems have been

a/ loose battery terminals
b/ bad grounds on the wiring harness at the top of the rad
c/ steering angle sensor going bad, (whole new rack required)

probably want to check a & b thoroughly before doing c.

Hmmm , never had any problems until the car was in the body shop for a small accident. Guess I will take it to the dealer and have em check it out.

there is a thread on here about this . A lot of people have fixed this by cleaning the connectors on the rack
