I screwed up....can you help me out of it? Oil overfill.

I have no idea what was going on in my head that day, but I must have poured an extra quart (or more??) into the car.

I started having some performance issues and misfires and replaced the coils, spark plug wires, and spark plugs. I mention this because I don't know if it's possible to induce this state with an overfill.

I found oil in the black box that attaches to the side of the air intake, in the air filter box, etc.

Here's what I've done so far to clean up my idiotic move:

1) Drained the oil and put in the proper amount
2) Drained the black box
2) Wiped out air box and replaced the filter

Is there anything else I should check and/or clean up?

Humbly....thanks for any insights.

clean your maf with maf cleaner. It's the black sensor on the accordian tube coming out of the airbox and is used to measure the amount of air being introduced, adjusts your air/fuel ratio while in closed loop, and tells the computer how much fuel to inject when in open loop.

^ The "sensors" he is talking about are spider-silk thin and should be bright. Contact cleaner should work well, too. (electrical contact - not saline solution)

Over fill can also cause problems with your aux ports

Since it was only apparently once, you will be okay. Just clean the MAF the correct way with the correct cleaner.
Seems like you've done everything else, not knowing you are are stock or what, might wanna check the air filter for the heck of it........................oh yeah......................and don't do it again!!!!
