All these numbers look soo good compared to mine lol. I've already starting saving for a rebuild but my current engine needs to hold on until then.

Compression figures in PSI: (Acceptable levels): Standard 120, Min 98.6
R1: 107, 105, 104 @ 325 RPM
R2: 105, 105, 108 @ 325 RPM

Compression figures in kPa: (Acceptable levels): Standard 830, Min 680
R1: 740, 730, 720 @ 325 RPM
R2: 730, 730, 730 @ 325 RPM

Do you think that crap 2 stroke oil you're using is only building up on your spark plugs?

When someone says the one product is horrible they will obviously have an opinion on what product is good in their eyes. He probably respects teamrx8s opinion and wants to know what he thinks he should be using rather than searching and getting conflicting answers.

If you do a search for 2 stroke you will see that lucas has all the qualities people suggest for a good premix so that may also be why he is asking teamrx8s thoughts on a better one.

I agree searching is usually the way to go, I didn't think you were being rude. Even if teamrx8 responds and says what he would use that is still only his opinion and there will be another person on here who would dispute it for x y and z reasons. The oil debate sucks on here, premix or otherwise.

I have read the premix thread. Lucas semi-synthetic 2-cycle seem to be a good choice, it's low ash and JASO.

I know me and team don't always get along but I know he knows his stuff and try to respect his opinion even if it's not the same as mine.

A good premix I'm happy with is Idemitsu, you might want to look into the more experienced user's conversations about it if you're unsure but I recommend it. I ordered the 12qt package for $67 and it's literally lasting me a lifetime.

I know about idemitsu, but I would prefer something local.

I am using lucas as well and have been considering other options just based on the price. I pay $10 for a single bottle of lucas, if I can get a 12 quart case of idemitsu for $70 that is a pretty good savings.

I no longer use premix, but my recommendation for the 1,000,000th time on this forum is Amsoil Saber Professional

Will you be able to show us pictures of any additional housing wear your engine suffers without premix when you tear down the engine in the future?

BC.

Thanks for the recommendation team, I might give it a shot. Cause I don't like the idea of running without premix.

For the pass couple of days I have been using straight gas and really driving the **** out of the car. Every single chance I see I make her beep.

Somethings I've noticed...
-Exhaust tone is totally different now, it's defiantly a higher pitch, and the engine sounds "weaker" (almost a metallic sound at idle), but I haven't noticed a drop in performance.
-I shoot fireballs like crazy now. And they are much larger than before...
-Idle at fully warmed is not steady, fluctuates about 100-150rpms randomly.
-A/F's at idle are more jumpy. It always moved around a little at idle, but now I'm seeing a larger range and it's doing it more often.
-MPGs have strangely increased, even with all my redlining.
