highest NA Renesis whp?

im looking to see who has the highest NA Renesis to get a basic idea of what power was made. also a list of things added to make that power...

i been working on getting my renesis into my rx7 for a little while now. it was a DD build. but now its turned into a drag car. so im trying to guess what HP i will have from the Renesis. im only looking for 230- 240 whp. this is how i have it now and think it will make the power im looking for,

breakdown as the motor sits right now.

6 port renesis, ported very slightly
* was a 4 port motor, but i swapped the 6 port end plates on. holley 650
JW performance manifold, modded to fit renesis
open headers, (no muffler, custom made by me)
1st gen dizzy, MSD coils

might switch to IDA webbers. but i have the holley on there for now...

I believe TeamRX8 has the highest NA whp at 224 (give or take a few)
240 is going to be quite difficult.

I make 225Hp to the wheel now that I did the throttle body bypass mod. You should look into it. I also had a port and polish done on my MAF sensor.

The most any race team has managed to get out of the engine (pre-09), after hundreds of different combinations of parts, porting, timing, fuel changes, ect was 230 rwhp. Good luck going higher. Especially on pump gas.

there is a thread on bridgeporting the Renesis on here - that may get you the extra 10-15 you are looking for

Interested to hear more about this. The popular belief is that the stock variable length manifold is the best setup for getting NA power on the renesis.

I'd like to see pics and info. on this setup.

Their 2 rotor Renesis engines, regardless of any porting style or even no porting, could only get 230 peak rwhp. That's it. The combo that they ended up doing this with was a stock internal Renesis (no porting but they did try), a light flywheel, a header and full exhaust, stock coils, stock paper air filter, stock intake manifold, some very good tuning, and 98 octane gas. They tried over 200 different combinations on the dyno.

wow... so i really should look to the lower 230whp side. but i really shouldnt base my numbers off of these set-ups. since mine will be with a holley, JW manifold, ect... I gues i'll just have to wait and see what i get. I was told 236 on a similar set up in PR. but never got actual proof.

i should of added this will be on C16 race gas. wich should get me a few more horses.

Oh it was on a 9krpmrx8 V1.3 Butt Dyno. Far more accurate than the previous version.
