So I read the DIY here:

But not sure if my problem relates as my rear defroster also seems affected by the problem at hand. It doesn't turn on.

Also, the AC green LED doesn't light up when pressed, but it does display that AC mode is on via the LCD screen.

So just asking if anyone else had these same symptoms when facing the heating/ac dilema that the soldering DIY did in fact fix?

follow the shop manual and check all inputs/controls.

 

Well I know what controls work...

Work:
Air Amount **** on left hand side
AC Button (works but green LED doesn't light up, but indicates it's on via LCD screen)
Mode Button
Button to switch air to windshield defroster

Does NOT Work:
Temperature control
Rear Defroster button
