I looked at a lot of kits on eBay after reading this thread, but could not find the one kit that everyone is talking about. However I did find the eBay user mentioned earlier in this thread and emailed him about the kit.

He still sells the kit in red, blue and silver on his own web site:

www.maxground.com

I ordered silver to go with my sunlight silver 8.

This would make a good DIY. I would do it, but I don't have a digital camera. Additionally, I think that I would rather follow a DIY to get it installed, than make one.

I checked the grounds on my 8/03 RX8 with a Fluke 87 and found them all to be great without any additions. 0.1 ohms to each gnd point from battery. I do have no mods.

The kits are not all the same -- the wire lengths and attachment points vary depending on what vendor has put the kit together. The kit I purchased uses approx. 20 feet of wire (total).

Has anyone tried the Godzilla ground wire kit. I've read and searched all that I could find about ground wire kits. And I know I could make my own. But for the about the same amount of money I could get this. http://www.angelfire.com/electronic2/guileqno/
It seems like a good deal but I want some feedback about it first. Any info would be great. Thanks

  • This is an excellent quality kit. Great quality materials, beautifully put together and includes really nice directions with color pics. The guy put some thought into it, and it shows. He even went so far as to stamp cable numbers (there's 4 of them of differing lengths) on the connectors.
  • After installation, my DSC light was flashing and my TC light was on solidly the first time I started the car. However, after I drove it once, these went away. Just FYI.
  • Thus far, I have not really noticed any dramatic improvement in performance, although I was not really expecting much. It does seem to make throttle response a bit snappier, but I can't be sure. I'll make a judgement in the next few days and add it here if I feel any improvements.
  • This is a very easy mod to do if you have a 10mm and 12mm socket, and looks really good when completed. Basically a nice, inexpensive mod, that looks cool if nothing else. Recommended!
Do you still have the instuctions by chance? I purchased mine, but no instructions.....
