Fuel level sensors

Mine died....read empty all the time...so I pulled the fuel pump out to check out the sensors.

The sensors are variable resister units...and they can be removed without removing the fuel tank... The mounting bracket is a twist off bayonet mount...just turn it and it comes out easily

Took it out and found that I had separated the wire on one connector...crimped it back together and all was good

I was relieved...originally I thought that the bracket was fixed in the tank

Good to know. Mine got stuck at half a tank a while back and they replaced my whole tank but didn't really give me an explanation.

I'm not sure if you can actually BUY the sensors separately though
