Fuel Injector Cleaners (e.g. STP) - Safe to use?

Hi, just wondering if it is safe to use fuel injector cleaner fuel additives into a rotary engine. I generally use fuel additive cleaners for my other cars (diesel and petrol). I read somewhere in this forum that the injector cleaners can get into the combustion chambers, clean the carbon deposits and get it lodged and cause carbon locking. Is this true?

If it is safe, how regularly would I need to use the additive to keep the injectors clean?

yup, perfectly fine.

I pour some in every 10-15,000 miles.
I've used Lucas products and BG44
