Front Door Replacement

2004 RX-8.

Front driver's door has a hole in it, so it needs to be replaced. What is the cost of a new door and reasonable range for labor?

What is a reasonable range for repairing a few scratches / dents along with the door labor?

I got an estimate of $1800 - is this too much?

Thanks in advance.

I've had my front driver's door replaced - just the skin, nothing else.

With paint and 2 clear coats it was a little more than 50% less - I want to say $850. The place did good work, used new parts and I have no complaints.

Buy the door from a junk yard or just ask Mazmart, our forum vendor, Paul (I got your name right!)

https://www.rx8club.com/mazmart-88/

Ask for the color and side, see if they have it, if they do, buy it and install it yourself. I never did it myself but I dont think its going to be a all day job, maybe 2-3 hours ? Im pretty sure this will be the *cheapest* way to do it.
