search Forced Induction or Wider Rotors. I'm not sure anything is being done for the current 8's from the factory

First off the RX8 may only have 157 Lbs/torque, but that does not make it slow. If you do a search there are several threads debating this topic. You also have to remember that the RX8 is not about super fast strait line performance, but amazing handling, steering, and feel.

If you are about stoplight racing (which is extraordinarily irresponsible and puts yourself and others in danger) than this is not the car for you.

i don't think its irresponsible to be racing at street lights, but yea. ive done some reading and this car doesn't sound like the car for me. the thought of a rotarty engine sounds so awesome though. this car has style, performance and grace written all over it. its a new car and no one has come out with any after market products for it. ill do a lil more researching, im starting to look at s2000's.

and why is that? Do you think your skill is so good and the power of the force so strong with you that the chance of a blown tire or major malfunction you can avoid? Youre damn rights it's irresponsible. Have you ever heard of vehicular manslaughter? Guess how most of these cases start, with people like you. If you love street racing then just watch, there is no reason to put other people in danger just so you can drive fast. If you want to settle a bet then go to the track.

The only thing worse than someone who street races on public roads is someone who does it and say's stuff like "i don't think it's irresponsible." Damn you must be stupid. The really sad part is you'd prolly kill some innocent person and walk away w/o a scratch.

Even if you don't think it is irresponsible to street race that doesn't mean you should put other people's lives at risk.

I can't stop you from racing, but I hope you think about what you are doing next time you are about to race.

Going past the speed limit on a highway and racing at stoplights have two very different danger levels, not to mention stupidity levels. The former of the two realizes that everybody speeds because cars still maintain a good distance, and the latter doesn't stop to think about anything but their own ego at a stoplight.

And the latter won't do damage to himself... just others.

I hope a cop catches you next time you do it and revokes your license until you decide to grow a brain.

fellows, we certainly do not need this to turn into a flame war.

beav, you should know better what to keep to yourself, and what to search on.
