Maintenance
Did you guys see where the oil filter was at? Was the engine orientation correct? If that's where the final location is, oil changes are going to be really messy. Time for Moss Motors to come up with a oil filter relocation kit like they have for the Miata.
And the spark plugs... I'm new to rotary so I don't know how often they need to be replaced but don't they seem to be in a awkward location?

Edit: Okay, only found this pic. You can see the filter to the top left - just under the plastic cover...

Thanx for the pic - B-Nez
You guys will notice B-Nez's picture is from a left hand drive Rx8.
Mine - which Good Duck has attached is a right hand drive model.
From the looks, left hand drive gives better access to the filter as there's a bit less cluttter because the brake booster/cylinder is located nearby
Speaking of access - I've found a new way to make room for a front mounted intercooler.
Make sure when you order your car you pay the extra bucks to get colour coded air bags - the flesh pink variety certainly dont suit yellow paint.

You dont even have to wait overnight for the oil to drain out of the filter. It drains out instantly if you tap a small hole in the top with a screw driver. You either wait 8 hours or so.....or you can do it whenever you want with this method.......-Pat
