TX few problems, Please give me some idea.

I had my car for year already, now its 56k miles, close to 57k. there are few "minor" problems.

my 8 is a bit shaking when I stopped car.

also, everytime when I start the car in the morning, there is like a drilling sound under the hood for couple mins.

when I release my clutch on neutral gear, car make greater noise.

Could anyone give some clue for those problems?

Do i have to change my coils, cables, spark plugs? also my clutch?
how many mile I should flush my gear box oil?

Thanks.

Hi

I was getting a misfire on my eight as 3 coils burnt out, so was running very rough and very hard to start. i got new coils/plugs/leads now car like new again.
unless that is happening and you are not getting a flashing engine light your coils and plugs should be ok.

the early eights like mine, make a slight noise like a fan running, not engine fan, sorry closest thing i can think of when the engine is running over with the clutch out and in neutral.
when you put your clutch in, the noise goes away. i have read this on here before, but can't remember the corrct terms for it, its normal on the earlier cars.

i bought mine with 62800 miles, now 71500 and its going better than when i bought it.
i did have to replace my ignition bits, ie the parts you were asking about, but that was because the coils burned out as they can do (weak point) on the eight.
however you could try putting your clutch in when starting and try letting it out and in to see if noise goes away, comes back etc which should be happening. also try taking your plugs out and cleaning them if brown should be ok, just clean up, if black then bad.

but are you idling ok, revving smoothly?

you probably have a cracked motor mounts....I had the same symptoms during a stop too......have them replaced and your car should be running like new
