i think the warranty is 8 year 80,000 miles. my car has a 2096 code that so far neither a dealer or another garage can figure out. the dealer just fixed an intake leak, called it good, charged me and let me go. ********.

the garage thinks it might be the purge solenoid that went...i have never heard of one before but i don't know much about engines. he said it was part of emissions. i want to know if it is covered under the warranty.

anyone know? i searched and i couldn't find it anywhere.

 

Theyre probably refering to the EVAP cannister purge solenoid, and I dont believe its covered under the Fed Emissions Warr. I believe only the Cat Conv. is covered under the Emissions Warr, but Im not sure.

thanks for the responses. that link was really helpful. and i'm sorry for not being more detailed, yes it was the purge solenoid on the evap canister i was talking about. so bad that won't be covered for me because i have alot more than 2 years and 24,000 miles on it. thanks again.
