My car seems to be using a lot of oil. See attachments of pictures I took after a tank of gas 2 times. Seems to be consistent. Is this normal? I have been reading and about 1 Quart of oil (32) ounces is used every 1,500 miles....
Could this be my OMP or MOP perhaps? These is no leakage whatsoever in the driveway. Suggestions? Note, this is my daily driver. This is from normal driving.

 

If you are driving very hard then that could be possible, if not then there is a TSB that addresses this issue, it has to do with the crankcase ventilation system. It was improved in 2006+ models.

Thanks, have seen that before... Question. I do have 3 hoses. One goes to the JET Air, one goes into the Oil Catch can, the other goes to I think around the fuel injectors. Is mine fixed with the Oil Catch?

 

I don't know, it depends on your catch can setup.

So you are stock or you have a catch can? I have seen many fucked up catch can installs. It is a simple thing but many just don't grasp the concept.

On mine, I have a hose that goes from the Oil Fill neck to one of the 2 holes on the catch can.

 

I highly doubt its the intake hose. As stated in that thread it was only replaced due to accidents for the most part. I would say its just your driving sir. I easily go through that much oil on a tank, there is nothing wrong. Its just moderate driving. If your having fun with your car its normal.

 

Does your catch can have a filter on it or does it route back to the intake? A quart every 1500 miles is a lot of consumption. Unless he drives like a maniac everywhere.

 

That's funny. First pict. was getting on it a little. Other was normal cruising like 65mph. Mine routes back to the intake to the 3rd pipe on the intake.
