KS engine very hot

Hi, just needed some assistance, none of my lights are coming on, so there's no fault showing! However when driving around even for small distances and switching the engine off, it is very hot, even the plastic covers covering the engine are very hot.

Any reasons why?

Yep, it gets hot under there...the internal combustion chamber sees temperatures in the thousands of degrees.

Put some gauges on your car.
See http://www.racingbeat.com/Mazda-Perf...rtNumber=11816 for example.

Get an infrared pyrometer...measure your underhood temps. If it's much hotter than 212-250 you may be on to something, but otherwise you do realize that internal combustion creates heat and in that process the gases produced can be as hot as 3000 degres F?
