My last dyno result actually was 217 whp but the dyno computer was not well tuned i think... The screen showed 217 whp but the data is 210 whp i don't know why.

The dyno is actualyy mustang dyno ... So the results are probably a bit better ...

The car is 40th anniversary full n/a i can say except porting ... ( Actually the car is the fastest n/a rx8 in Turkey atm.)

So the 4 th part in the picture is my last 97 Oct. map with Long Term Fuel Trim -2 Dyno run ... The last 2 are newly installed LTFT -0 results ...

Big throttle body is on the way so also new map is also coming ... I am thinking like 220+ at the end of everything.

The ECU Cobb Tune is made by George Easytuning ...

So if your baseline was that low and then a tune (I'm assuming mazdaedit?) made that much power then there is something wrong there.
Just looking at the blue and red lines on that graph, something appears off with the engine (or tune) until the final run. Looking at the blue line I'd guess the ignition was dying. I'm not sure why it did not make full power for the red line run. Maybe the ECU was still pulling timing based on some learning function, or the BHR ignition did not work properly until the dwell tables were altered? Oh, wait, when were plugs changed? Could be that they were still fouled for the red line run...

The final (green) line looks like a normal healthy curve.

I got the stock results at the same dyno too. My car was 186 whp when nothing on it.

I think all the modifications i made are worth it actually ... Almost 35 whp on a N/A car is good i think...

Actually here the stock R3's made like 180-190 whp when stock

40th anniversaries are like 170-186 whp

S1's are like 145-160 whp

when they stock ... A bit low actuayy probably because of the software on the cars ... We think that mazda made the S1 cars soo rich ...

Looks like failing ignition. How old are your coils and plugs?

Dyno my car last night (SDS dyno. japanes version of Bosch roller dyno, simialr like dynojet but with brake) with my custom design intake and new exhuast ( re amemiya super dophlin tail catback) with 15whp more compare to last time 2019/10 with stock intake box and R-magic catback

some car sepc
Mazda reman less then 5000mile
exhaust: feed equal length header, mid pipe(twin muffler) re amemiya super dophin tail muffler
intake: custom intake over 239 GSM reading at 8200+rpm

Chassic dyno is only a tool. if you want just number just pick up one is most easy one. let why i always use same dyno on same car for conistant reading. i even pick up similar weather and use same set of wheel

For reference. stock good condion BRZ witll read 17x whp at this SDS dyno

full stock with only mid pipe and catback 182whp
with feed headr and versatune 185whp

I was amazing what this result outcome. intialy with muti pass of 195whp after study of log file. decide to lean out A/f around 6000rpm up but add a bit more fuel over 8500
thus the final result !!!! cant wait to test at this year race season

You don't think the freshly rebuilt engine had something to do with the power increase? Come on man.

It's not personal to you, but I think claiming that you had a zomg big power increase on a single dyno run or from a single mod, where many others did not is a disservice to the community. It's not scientific.

Especially when you have a youtube channel, unless you're absolutely sure and have revalidated the results and compensated for outside factors, it's no different from misinformation. If you wanted attention, you got it

Well
That dyno session is my private session, i had done muti pull on my setup intial whp with my custom intake setup is 194whp after different A/F settings i pick up few hp there .after that i put conversional set up back to see the different , as i expect it
The whp drop to 187whp !!!!!
Put my custom set up back made back 198whp

And i am not missleading , all Rx8 intake kit are miss a very important part that is so crucial on engine can rev up to 9000rpm, is not black magic or myth just u are willing to think outside of box or not or u are not limit by rule book

I can give u a hint, check out thoese All motor drag civic ~

Here u go

Rotary are simple engine, the more air u can put into engine and smoother flow , the more power and smoother power club will come
Here are the dyno with conventional intake set up

I had to say again, this is not black magic or myth
There is plenty of article u can searc on line talk about speed up and smooth up air flow for intake,

Due to the cost or packag isue lets why we don't see it in aftermarket kit

Ah ok ...got it . Was a bit confused there .

I asked for a dyno showing both results and you posted a dyno with two plots on it and no explanation ........

So this intake maod you did ...are you keeping it secret and planning to sell it ?

Yeah sds dyno is a bit confused, but some people like it cause it show in theory engine hp
But rx8 still read very low due to low TQ

I am going to track testing next sunday to find out more data of my setup will post the result
