Dyno Dynamics Chart of my 2004 rx-8.

29,000 miles.
full tank of gas.

mods:
K&N air filter
magnecor spark plug wires
synthetic oil

how do you dyno folk think this looks?

looks OK for this type of dyno - I was around 170 when stock (with K&N also ). The Aussie guys seem to be around that mark also .
Higher number is post tuning with piggyback ECU.

I was actually the highest RX-8 that was there. the closest to me was 156. there was also 151 and 153.

It's a good baseline though. The only other mods I'm planning are an exhaust and possibly a CAI.

Was it a hot day ? That could account for the difference along with calibration differences.

torque curve sure is choppy, what kind of fuel did you have? Also, what kind of dyno?

uh, a dyno dynamics dynamometer.........

and no it wasn't a hot day. in the low 50's.

Was it SAE adjusted for conditions?

ya got me.

It was a dyno day up at this shop in the dallas area. Lots of people there. I just signed up and put my car up there when they called my name.......

One of the local shops has a Dyno Dynamics here.

They started in the land down under.

Anyone in Australia have any input on that brand dyno?

Dyno Dynamics is the most common brand down here - we always get lower numbers on them than what we see for the dyno jet . I remember seeing dyno day results for RX8s on the Aussie site all being around the 160 hp mark .

always premium. Best you can do around here without going to specialty shop is 93.
