DRL Install in RX-8 (REAL DRLs)
Hey All -
Ok, first off - yes, I've READ the infamous DRL fog light thread found here:
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...&highlight=drl
(Omnicron did great work!)
What I'm TRULY interested in is has anyone actually installed TRUE daytime running lights in their US-spec RX-8 like the Canadian RX-8 has? The DRL in a Canadian RX-8 basically runs the high beams during the day at 40% of normal power. It looks pretty slick.
I found the following link that describes how to do it on a S2000, and it's pretty slick.
I want to do exactly this to my RX-8 -- anyone want to help me figure out the wiring diagrams? I don't have a service manual.
Here is the difference:
"DRL" Mode:
Lowbeams:
Hi-Beams:
The DRL kits look like we'd be able to adapt to the RX-8 as well.

Thanks!
Bill
