Does CZ Stg 1 + Borla = Racing Clutch
Will the stock clutch be able to handle the power of the combination of a CZ stg 1 and an aftermarket exhuast? If it can't then what racing clutch do you suggest?

it ought to do just fine... basically the power is back where it should have been (about 200rwhp... a little more). you need to be pumping SERIOUS power to overspin a clutch. don't sweat it yet.

That is all i have planned in the mean time, but say if i did want to do something more heavey duty when would i need to replace the clutch? Also I think it should put out like 215whp w/ CZst 1 and a Borla. I think that a borla offeres like 15whp with the CZ cause the exhuast is now more restrictive once the CZ is in place...If the base is like 175, then it should add 40whp combined.

I ran the Stage 1 with my Borla and a drop in air filter. If I gained 40 whp, then I'm a monkey's uncle. It felt like maybe 10 whp.

I know the 200-215 rwhp figures have been discussed and estimated but I have yet to see a dyno reach those figures (no one has done it yet). The Touring and GT equipped cars really throw a wrench in the dyno works because of the assoicated dash error lights while attempting to dyno. Anybody out there with a base model 8 with canzoomer Stage 1?
We know the car drives well and I'm not knocking the vehicle, I would just be interested to see some real life charts since people are throwing around these numbers without documented proof.

Yeah so far all I have is the estimate, from seperately dynoed mods but not on the same car. I know that StealthTL has both on his car, but I don't recall seeing him put out any dynos yet.

I just received my stage 1 earlier this week and got it installed. I have a base model 6 speed and since rotary performance is just down the street I am going to call them up about getting a couple dyno pulls as long as they don't cost too much. Maybe I'll get them to install some springs while there. Hopfully this would be in a couple weeks.
