Did Mazda change to better coils?

I found two part # on the coils. One is N3H1-18-100B-9U and the other one is N3H1-18-100A-9U. What is the difference?

Thanks

The 100B is the latest version of the coil. You most likely won't find any of the 100A's in stock. The change over was about 2 yrs ago.

they add 9U cuz it works for the 09+ model too. just not so sure if its actually "another version" or whatever.

FC coils wont work.

BHR is the plug and play

For some odd reason, the N3H1-18-100B is twice as much as the N3H1-18-100B-9U. What is the difference?

thanks

This is what I figure. My car seems to be running okay. I am going to do the 3 things, keep these old parts as spare for now. I track my car, so always handy to have spare parts

Received the new coils today from Mazdaspeed, they are all the N3H1-18-100B-9U coils. I have a quick question. How do I go about testing the oil coils while I am off the car. Can I run an ohm test on the new one to compare to the old ones?

Thanks
