Delay in power after 6,000rpm

Delay in power after 6,000rpm
just recently my car stopped giving power as soon as i hit 6,000rpm. i'm not sure if it could be my clutch but i do know that my clutch or master cylinder needs to be changed. could this have anything to do with the power not kicking in?
