Dealer Can't/Won't Install lightweight flywheel. (Looking for insight)

My clutch blew two weeks ago shifting into second, and it just got done today. I bought a Stage 1 Gravity clutch from Nopi.com along with the ultra lightweight flywheel here: http://nopi.com/dsp_parts.php?vsubpc...20|%20Flywheel

I dropped the parts off yesterday when I got them, the clutch is in the car now with my original flywheel - I'm curious as to why they're telling me that the flywheel "wouldn't mount" - they mentioned something about a large nut holding the flywheel on and it wouldn't work with this one/the pressure plate won't grab the flywheel ("improper mounting surface") or something like this? The inside pattern on both this flywheel and the Mazdaspeed flywheel (http://mazdaoflakewoodracing.com/cat...ly%20wheel.jpg) looks the same to me. Am I being given the run-around or is there something preventing this Competition Clutch flywheel from being put in?

After doing some final looking around...it appears I may have bought one for an automatic transmission? It says here http://www.racingbeat.com/RX8/Flywheels/11458.html that the counterweight is required for an automatic transmission, and the manual transmission has it cast into the flywheel. I'm really hoping this isn't the case...

What do you need to drop a transmission? aha

No they did, that's when I found all this out, I okayed the rebuild - I'd like to maybe drop my tranny myself and put the flywheel on when I get another flywheel in for a manual transmission

Yes, the OEM flywheel has it cast in.Your lightweight flywheel probably did not come with this. Also, you may need special bolts for mounting the pressure plate to the flywheel.

So yes, the OEM flywheel attaches with a single, large nut. The aftermarket lightweight flywheel attach to the counterweight, which attaches to the shaft.
