Angry It cranks, but does not fire ??

Ok, so last night I tried to start up the 8 after about 2 days not driving it. It has been sitting outside, and temps are hovering around freezing.
Anyway, I would turn the key and it would keep cranking over but it would just not fire and come to life. I heard a few pops and such like it was trying to start, but no such luck. I did what the drivers guide said, WOT for 7-8 sec while cranking, and still nothing. So now I am charging up the battery and hoping some of you more experienced rotory guys can point me in the right direction. I would like to try hard to stay away from the dealer and do my own work if that is possible.
Thanks

Are you under warranty? What year/mileage?

Could be flooded. Read this thread

Also, check your battery. yes it can turn over and still not start cause of a battery. I learned that the hard way once.

mine did the same thing today, pops but no start no matter how much i tried. I went for the flooding theory and tried the DIY for washer fluid squirted into the intake port...butt my washer fluid lines were frozen over. I then resorted to hooking up with jumper cables to another car and cranking it, actually pumping the gas pedal at the same time. Finally got it to choke a lot then start, and has been fine since. I dont know, that was my procedure to get it started today, never had that happen before though.

Sounds like it is flooded, you will have to tow to dealership to get fixed
