Cooler air for stock intake
You texas boys are overcomplicating the problem: the simple solution is to move to Michigan. I was showing 42 deg F IAT this morning.
my point is, this mod is just pointless. stock VFAD location is actually pretty good : it protects the intake from getting water, and its nowhere near the "hot stuff"
if I were u I will just go back to original flapper door VFAD tube. its designed to work at different engine load/speed/air velocity

Thanks for your point of view, it's duly noted
All I know is my IAT's have not been this close to ambient temps before. Take it or leave it. Sure beats spending $300.00 + and getting a wet filter
