Cold Starts - Is the issue solved?

Well I finally did it, I had a Homer moment. The lawn guy came and as instructed, let me know he was mowing so I could move my 8 and avoid grass clippings blown on to it.

Homer cells fully engaged, I started my 8 for the first time today, moved it 50 ft from the drive way to the street and shut her down, Doooh.

Already beginning to panic - what's the roadside ***'t number? - Oh God it's Friday, they'll keep her until at least Monday

Mustered up as much positive universal energy as I could and went back to see whether I was dealing with Beauty or the Beast. I gently inserted the key (but not before I kissed her), and she cranked up on the first try.

It is 85 degrees out so maybe that helped or has this issue been tamed by the PCM flash upgrades? ( I have N)

Hope so. That would have bought you a tow trip to the dealer in the old days (2003)

It completely depends I guess. Ive flooded mine twice, and got it going eventually. The second time was due to trying to start with an extremely low battery (wierd); the first was stall while cold in winter (my bad). I made a habit a while ago of revving before shutting down, and I swear I did it, but went to get in it Wednesday, and it was flooded after I moved it a short distance Monday (done it several times successfully). I had the first round of M software.

I pick it up tomm after new plugs, new battery, and new flash.

However, I was very impressed with Roadside assistance. It was after hours when I called them. The only thing unexpected was there was a wait for the battery.

I cold start and stop my '05 6 spd all the time without issue and it came with N flash, so I'd say so for those that have the latest upgrades

Shutting down cold only really affects the car if you leave it sitting for a few hours after shutdown. I was always under the impression that it's not an "issue," but an intrinsic characteristic of a rotary engine. If it wasn't, I don't see why there'd be a warning in the owner's manual.
