cold start overheating

i've been experiencing the carousel warning light turning on at cold start
it turns off 5 min after or even stays on till i turn off the car . i've checked the
radiator , overflow , check actual temps and nothing seems wrong.
wondering if this could be an electrical problem or something else

i've searched and still am thought i make a thread see if anyone has had
the same problem or anything

i know i have noticeable power loss and rough idle
and i have the latest flash (the one that bumps up the omp)

any help apreciated

thanks guys

Try searching again. Owners have had problems with faulty sensors in the bottom of the plastic coolant tank. And as I recall, the sensor is integral with the tank and not independently replaceable.
