Coils

Im reading a great deal about coils here, but im not seeing an answer to this.
Is there a way to tell what coils are in my car by just looking down at them and without pulling them out ?
My 06 runs fine, but the paranoia about coil health has me wondering what the last owner might have done or not done !
Car has 55000 miles, so something must have been done at this point !

Nothing identifiable from the top. When in doubt, replace. The previous owner should be able to give you some indication though?

You can tell what type of coil is installed oem, ls, ign, etc.

But it will be hard to tell which brand without taking things out.

You can buy an HEI coil tester from Amazon for ~$20.

Finally pulled a coil out. They are 100A's - might be originals, i dont know! Its running fine, but at 56000 miles, ill be replacing them !
Previous owner left a set of new plugs in the glovebox so ill put them in. Old plugs dont look bad, but both leading and trailing plugs are definitely gapped a little closer than the new ones. New ones are in spec though !
