coilover sleeve problem

coilover sleeve problem
so i bought a coilover sleeve kit off of ebay and it says it fits all models of the rx8. when i tried to slide it over the stock shock it wouldnt fit. is their any way to remove the spring perch. i have stock tokico shocks
