Clear Corners Troubleshooting
So I finally got around to purchasing a set of clear corners. I figured I'd do it right so I got a pair of Stealth Bulbs from RX8Strakes. I took the reflectors out and everything seemed to be going very easily. When I put the new bulbs in and put the clear corners on, I tested it out with my blinkers and nothing happened. No light. So I figured I had bad bulbs. Then I put the original bulbs back in, no light again. Then I attached the new wiring harness that came with the clear corners in replace of the old ones. Again, no light. Any ideas as to what could be going wrong. I really don't want to get a ticket for malfunctioning side marker lights

First, check the fuse for the circuit.
Second, I haven't had my lamps out but they might require a ground connection through the mounting point instead of a wire. If so, you should be trying them out mounted on the car and not dangling in the air.

This is gonna seem stupid, but you know those don't work off the blinkers right?
Those side markers only work if you have the lights on.
If still no worky, then check the fuse and see if you blew that fuse.
It's not the ground in anyway....it doesn't depend on any ground off the housing on the side markers....you can have them dangling and check them if you like.

Funny stuff. Yeah, the side-markers are just that. They're not supposed to blink. I thought the same thing too when I changed out my clear corners the first time. Figured it out after about 1/2 a sec though.

Can anybody tell me where the "how to vacuum an RX-8" and "how to operate an RX-8 trunk lid" forums are located?
Honestly, the correct answer to the question about side marker lights is "who gives a $hit" or....nevermind
