Choosing positions for larger injections

I am trying to determine the optimum positions for upgraded injectors. I bought 4 injectors through mazsport. They are 2x650cc and 2x720 (or 780, I cant remember now as it has been a year.) The suggested positioning for these injectors with the int-x was to put the 650s in the p1 position and the 720s in the secondary position (I think, maybe it was p2). I have ditched the int-x and am going to tune with the accessport.

I think the best option is to put the stock 290s in the p1 position for idle quality and off boost crusing then put the 720s in the p2 and 650s in the secondary positions. Unfortunately, I dont have the sophistication to conclusively justify this opinion. I would appreciate EDUCATED opinions. This is a turboed application. Thanks.

I also would like to ask if the injectors can be removed without removing the oil metering pump. (Actually, I got one of them off without removing the oil metering thingy, but the others are nearly impossible. I was curious what others have done.

PS/ That should be InjectoRs in the thread title. I already know where the best place is for an injection.

Better remember so I know what to do on your calibration!

That is the way to do it. That is how the PCM expects to stage them.

The OMP should have no bearing on removing the injectors.
Just take off your intake manifold (upper), unbolt the VDI actuator bracket and pop out the fuel rails.

Yah. I hear ya. I am not sure and I dont know where to find this info given the current notworkingness of the supplier. My brain sez 720, but I will confirm somehow. I will post a pic and see if anyone knows.

It is totaly doable, and I could get the rail out but couldnt get my fingers in the back to pop the connectors. Just to get more room I removed the oil filler and metering thingy. It should take no time to replace.

I have a related question. I now have to do some soldering over this fuel soaked area. (moving the jumpers.) It is quite cold and taking some time for the puddles of 93 to evap. How do I tell when it is safe for an open flame (butane) souldering iron??? I have the fire extinguisher sitting next to me, but I am not a fan of the bald eyebrow look. Any hints???
