Changed battery and no power...

Help...please!

One day I got into my car, and as I put the key in (the door was still open) the door bell starting ringing, but as soon as I turned the key to start the car all power went off. It stayed off for a while, but about half an hour later I came back and tried it again, and this time it started - but the DSC light was on as was the "tires are slipping" indicator. I figured this was a sign the battery was toast, so I tried my portable charger/starter, and it did get the car going. So, I changed the battery, just put it in, and now I've got the same problem - any ideas?

Check your grounds, and make sure that you battery terminals are tight.

that light comes on until you turn the wheel to the right, turn the wheel to the left, and then shut down and restart. I think..

Is the remaining problem starting and running, or the DSC light?

It turns out it was the battery. The brand new one I bought from Canadian Tire (serves me right...) had a bad cell. All good now, except my damn clutch throw bearing is now going...sigh!

Those bearings make noise. Just squirt some oil up there and you will be fine.
