CEL P0353 and ignition coils

I just had a CEL and scangauge shows:
P0353 Ignition Coil C Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

On the other hand I saw some posts showing that this code for RX8 may be falsely triggered.

I have changed coils 3 years ago but I have changed sparks 3 months ago and battery this month.

I would apreciate if someone could explain me the following:
1) Should I replace coils or ignore that code
2) Do I need to replace sparks at the same time or it is not necessary (I was told in the past that it's better to replace coils+sparks+battery at the same time)
3) What else do you recommend I replace together with coils if at the end I should replace them? (i.e. plugs, cables, etc.)

P0353

Hi - I got the same message yesterday. About 3 months ago I got a coil error reading and the engine was definitely running very badly. This time however the engine is running smoothly so I am not sure if it is a genuine problem.

Did you resolve this and if so how?

Naw, even though somehow mysteriously it seems to show up more on JDM cars, it has shown up before and indicates coil failure. In this case I would belive it is L2, but don't qoute me, change all four!

P0351-A
P0352-B
P0353-C
P0354-D

Think they relate to L1 T1 L2 T2 in that order.

Chris......what's you location and do you know if your car is a JDM spec'd car?

I have ordered the full upgrade kit from BHR and still wait. Now my engine sometimes gives me hard time to start up although I have brand new battery. It cranks for a while and after 3-4 cycles, I have to help it by pushing the pedal.

This makes me wonder now, is it due to the failed coil or maybe the known problem with old starters?

I hope I won't need to get into new expenses because lately hald my salary goes on car maintenance.
