I have a B&B midpipe. I've had a CEL since I installed it. I put in a spark plug defouler to back the O2 sensor out of the exhaust stream. I could only fit one defouler in there. A second one would cause the O2 sensor to contact the transmission. I pulled my negative battery terminal yesterday to reset the CEL, thinking that it'd be ok after that. With the CEL off, the car felt quicker. Today, it felt like it did before, and my CEL is back on.

Any suggestions as to how I can keep the CEL off??

The o2 foolers dont work in this car, some have gotten those sparkplug defoulers to work, but I think all of them that worked used 2. If you cant fit 2, maby get a muffler shop to weld a new bung in at a differnt spot where the 2 defoulers would work, shouldnt cost more than 20-30 bucks + the cost of the bung. You can then plug the old bung, and even use it for a WideBand o2 down the road.

There isnt really any way to keep the CEL off that works all the time. Good luck.
