a/c defrost air direction buttons don't work

a/c defrost air direction buttons don't work

I have a 2005 RX8, the blower works, and the temp control moves between 0 and 16. In fact, we just installed a new heater control unit. the button in the middle, a/c, defrost, etc. won't light up and won't turn anything on, no a/c no heat. you do hear a beep when you push these bottons. Also in the display at the top you can see the time and radio information, the area to the right, for temp settings do not light up at all. Do you think the next problem would be the circuit board that the radio and temp controls hook up to?

Push the AMB button on the faceplate.

pushed the AMB button and nothing on the display.

Bad circuit board, someone pulled too hard when removing the radio. Search next time.

are you talking about the circuit board for the radio?

Hi,

Resurrecting a very old thread in the hopes that someone can help.

I just bought a 2004, it has exactly the same symptoms as the original post.

The blower works fine.

When doing the test as seen here:

The temp control moves between 0 and 16.

However, the director, a/c, defrost, etc. won't light up and won't turn anything on, no a/c no heat. you do hear a beep when you push these buttons.

The same as the original poster for the display at the top where you can see the time and radio information, the area to the right, for temp settings does not light up at all.

Any help is appreciated.
