Brake grease to stop squeal

I took my RX-8 into the shop yesterday for the front brakes squealing and they said they had to order a special grease to fix them. I know that there is a bullitine for breaks squeaing but I have never heard of using grease to fix a squeal issue. Does anyone know what they are talking about?

Thanks for any info...

There is a special lubrication they put on the brake pad back to aid in the reduction of noise along with a revised brake pad. It worked for me.

Just bed the brakes. No squeaks, still on original pads (built mid '03). When they start squeaking again, rebed.

Any auto parts place has the "special" blue brake pad grease. Sometimes it comes free with new pads. NOTE: it goes on the back of the pads, not on the part that touches the disc.
