Virtually nothing. If your engine does fail, you will make more off of parting it out than you would by trying to sell it. The 4-port engines are ~$4,500 + shipping + labor, so call it nearly $6k to get a zero mile engine in the car (even if they do labor themselves, that labor still has value), and a perfect condition 2004 with that many chassis miles is only worth $4,500-$5,000 as is. Giving the car away for free to someone that does the work themselves to replace the engine would still result in a car that they over paid for.

Sorry, but it's the truth.

I don't even know why they made this car with a auto trans you pay extra to make the car worth less. Personally I wouldn't take a auto if it was give to me to meany problems with every thing.

There are several reasons for choosing an automatic transmission that even enthusiasts would have to agree with. A veteran that lost a leg in combat and doesn't have a prosthetic yet, for example. A lot of other medical problems would have similar reasons. If you spend a large amount of your time in traffic, then an automatic certainly has a valid appeal.

So back off of the automatic bashing. It has known mechanical disadvantages with the 8, but please don't act like you are personally offended by the fact that it exists.

Man some peope always have to bash other people hard work. And complain about what type of transmission someone has in thre car. Seriously if you don't like people with auto magic tranny them might as well delete all the forum your apart of. And pretty much anything that has to do with cars. I was just asking how much I could possibly get for my car.
