I'm truly amazed. 18 replies to the OP and his first post and no one yelled out the "S" word. You must have caught nycgps on a good day .
FWIW. I use either Castrol GTX or Valvoline 5W-20 and Wix/Napa Gold oil filters. I'm probably gonna change to 5W-30 on the next oil change.

Im not in NYC atm .... so yeah ... :P
Oil Filter : I tried K&N, Mazda OEM, and WiX, K&N is the most expensive, Mazda is the cheapest. Quality ? I cant really tell, I just use whatever the easiest for me to get.
Oil : Royal Purple, QuakerState Advance Q, Castrox Syntec, Mobil1. Its all high quality oil, but I like Royal Purple better cuz everytime I use it, engine seems to be smoother.

Hmmmm i was reading all these post's and im still sorta confused about which grade of oil to use for my 8 .... Im leaning towards Royal Purple due to soo many recomendations...but which grade is better for regular everyday driving and which is better for putting the pedal to the metal ?
