Been to the dealer 3 times and told all normal.

Ok I am just wondering since the dealer I took my car too has told me the issues that I currently am having are normal operation but you be the judge. 2005 RX8 36,000 miles.

1st. Car makes a whistle/scrape sound at 5-6k rpm under load. Dealer told me its normal, just ports opening.

2nd. Car is making a tick sound every 8-10 seconds, seems to come from the engine area, almost like a A/C compressor kicking in but my A/C/defrost is off, guess you could say it also sounds like when you shut your car off and you can hear click sounds coming from your manifold when hot. Dealer said that was normal, just a pump feeding oil to the motor. Seems to only happen when warm.

3rd. When at a stop and back up and then move forward I get this loud clack sound from the front end, took it to the dealer and said was normal, needed upgraded brake pads not covered by warranty, said something about the brake pads shifting, clips moving but nothing to worry about.

4th. When I press or depress my clutch pedal I get this rubberish squeak sound, dealer said they fixed something on my service rod, but its still squeaking, I showed them the bulletin on replacing the cltuch pedal but they said they couldnt repeat the sound, when I took it in of course it wasnt doing it, figures...

I guess my only other option is to take it to another dealership, but its a 25 miles drive to the next mazda dealer.

1-normal
2-need better description if possible, but sounds alright
3-plausable
4-could be binding, but it has to do it for them to replace. Sucks, but gotta have them replicate it.

On the 2nd one, its a click sound, I've only so far notice it when i've warmed the car up, its about 8-10 seconds interval, cant hear it once I rev up the car alittle.

1 yes

2 if you have the fan on and air directed at your feet the defrost will be on no matter whether you have it selected or not. the compressor will cycle, depending on outside temp.

3. when you were parked? then thats correct if you have read the manual you would find that after every time the car is started the brakes do a self check after going faster than 5 or 7 mph(forget the number just now). the sound is the brakes pumping very fast once

4 your clutch pedal is going to break. take it to them DRIVE with them and show them the sound. don't let them try to replicate without you in the car.

ahh... the last one sounds like th bearing. Its know big deal. works fine but squeeks.

Agree with the others on 1,2,3

Don't panic. This car makes different noises.

Most car do the samething but the piston engine noise covers them up.

The rotory is super quiet so yo hear more.

I showed them the bulletin for the pedal, said it was fine, instead they told me they fixed some issue with the service rod. I know the bearing sound to be normal at least on this car from what I heard but the noise im getting is coming from the pedal area. Oh and I turned off the heater/AC fan and radio and I can hear the click sound from inside the cabin and louder if I stick my head out of the window, cant pinpoint, sounds like its coming from the back of the engine or on top.

Well talked with the dealer i've been dealing with, basically they told me im hearing things and would have to show the service manager the sounds before my car could be looked into again by a tech. So I decided to take my car to another dealer to see if I get better results.

Well I dropped my car off at another dealer, and told me the clicking sounds are normal. They had to order a part for my clutch pedal some switch was going bad, so had to leave my car overnight. They also found my drink holder was loose and replaced that. Still waiting on the news of the brake caliper issue.

Now they told me my car is overdue for transmission service $139.95, need to change my air filter $70.00, need to have my coolant flushed 129.00, and last my fuel system/fuel injectors need to be cleaned $139.00 yay, now I can do the air filter myself but im wondering is it cheaper to have the others done by a non-mazda tech like some local shop?

You can do the transmission service, air filter, and coolant flush yourself for a quarter of the price they are asking.

Well got my car back last week, they replaced my clutch switch, no more squeegee sound, but now im getting a click/vibration when I start to depress the clutch from the floor. Told the dealer about my idle, when I am above .900 - 1k rpm I dont notice it but when it drops below .900 it feels like my engine is sputtering/shaking, dealer said that was normal. I already had my motor mounts replaced and yesterday changed out my air filter, to me this just doesnt seem normal but two dealerships said it was normal. I had two 1987 Rx7 and both ran smoothly.
