well, i guess that's pretty cool, especially if you show your car competitively, and have everything under the hood color matched.
but, since i have a black car and don't show my car in competitions, i'll stick with the K&N filter, for the simple fact that the nut on top is so damn convenient

I've been using Purolator PL14612 on my car for about 2 years or so. I slap some high strength earth magnets on the outside too. Maybe it's voodoo magic, but it's not going to hurt anything.

I use PureOne's, too. They're great filters. Some people on this forum think they're too restrictive on start up, but after doing some extensive searching on some credible sites, I respectfully disagree.
They have tons of media pleat area, are very well constructed, and the silicone bypass valve is very well made and solidly attached.
The only other filter I'd consider using is a Wix.

used it for 4 years
Always used this filter (maybe one exception, when I had the dealer change the oil). It is the best for the money and easy to find. I have about 15 of them left - bought a large box at half price...
Yes, I hear people commenting that it is too small pore size - but when the car needs huge oil flow, the valve opens anyway (very important to have a good valve on a filter!). Then the question is: do I flow ultra-filtered oil then, of so-so filtered oil? I chose the first
