Anyone with Vertical Doors Inc. Installation Guide??
I'm about to buy the kit second hand, and the seller doesn't have the install instructions. This should be a great weekend project for me and my engineering buddies. I know the fender has to be cut, but does anything have to be done with the wiring harness? Anyone with personal install experience would be GREATLY appreciated. Oh, and I'll do a DIY once I've got it done. My first contribution to the 8 community

and why? If you've got personal experience with vertical doors, I'd love to hear your explanation. If you're just being a smarta**, well, thanks.

Yes, I emailed them and called with the same result. They only supply the installation guide to the original owners. I had that person contact VDI, but haven't heard if it was very fruitful. Kershaw brings up another issue whether he was sincere or not; do the owners of this kit recommend it??

I have the GT Factory kit on my car. I know the hinges are different, but I would recommend lengthening the wiring harness at least 8 inches. You CAN be cheap and simply pull the fender connector through, but it will leave a fist-sized connector just hanging out in your door, which looks like *** and is unprofessional. There are 24 wires on the drivers side harness and 16 on the passenger harness.
Is the kit a weld-on or bolt-on kit? Here's a tip; whatever your time estimate is for doing this- triple it just to be safe.

Thanks dude. It's the bolt-on kit. I think one door per day is a realistic goal, don't you think? I have access to any tools I might need, and a few handy mechanical friends. All I need now is the instruction booklet!!! Someone help me out!
