Anyone have compression #'s for a Renesis with 3mm Apex seals??

I'm using a built Renesis with 3 mm Apex seals.

The car is currently running 90lbs on first rotor housing and 85lbs on the second which is low compression and a failed engine by mazda specs.

I've been told that compression will be low when using 3mm apex seals.

Just wondering if anyone with a Renesis using 3 mm apex seals can give me some compression numbers that are to be reasonably expected out of such a set up?

Thanks for the help

Static compression is a funny thing. You really can't relate one motor's compression numbers to another.
Generally, all that matters is that the relative compression is uniform from chamber to chamber and rotor to rotor.
Your rotor-to-rotor measurement is technically within spec, but without knowing the RPM at which those measurements were taken and what the differences were from chamber to chamber (I take it this measurement was done with a regular pressure gauge, not a proper rotary compression tester), your numbers are meaningless for comparison.

The first compression test was done at a Mazda dealership with a normal pressure gauge but it gave really wonky readings so they then used a old rx7 gauge which is where these numbers came from. the compression test was done by simply cranking the engine by turning the key so what ever rpm that would yield.

Mazda Maniac, maybe you could possibly read my previous thread " built renesis with greddy turbo problems please help!!" to see if the Cobb could alleviate my problems. if it would i'd be happy to buy one today or monday.

I looked at the other thread and you don't provide enough of the right kind of information to determine if it is a mechanical problem, a tuning problem or both.

Even if you fix everything and get the tuning as close as it can get with the e-Manage, it will still never run as good as it will on a proper flash tune.

If your compression was computed with a Mazda device provide all the information it gave like pressure in all the chambers and cranking RPM.
Otherwise, your data is useless.

Let me ask you who did the 3mm seals for you.

The reason I ask is that it better come from a shop that knows what they are doing ... but if they do, they should have answers for you
