Almost crunchtime to install SR extreme clutch package... scared?
To all that installed a lightweight flywheel, etc.
It's getting closer to crunchtime for when i'm going to have my lightweight flywheel and extreme clutch installed... and these are the things i fear:
1. How stiff is the clutch going to be? Is it stiff to the point where i have to strain to engage the clutch? If so, how would that improve acceleration since i have to put in so much effort to engage the clutch? and is it going to be so stiff that after many many many efforts to engage the clutch, the clutch pedal will bend, or anything like that??
2. If i just go w/ a flywheel install -- i know many of you said if you drop the tranny, i might as well go the whole 9, and put in a new clutch as well... but if i just install a new lightweight flywheel, would that be the solution to the stiff clutch? If so, would the stock clutch w/ a lightweight flywheel slip a bit??
Help please... i dont' know what to do. I dont' know whether to sell it, or keep it... b/c i want my car to accelerate faster, and when the supercharger comes out, i want to be able to put that in and not change the clutch, etc...
anyone?

i guess that was my poison?
I know i will FEEL the extreme clutch, but to what degree?? That's what i need to know... what's it like?

VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYY STIFF JAE. Trust me. Rick at rotary performance did my clutch job, and he's been working on rotary cars for like 20 years or something, and he stalled it. Feels good once I got used to it, but very stiff.

Go Texas Longhorns!
if I was you, and this is your daily driver, I would throw the extreme clutch on Ebay and pick up a lighter duty one like racing beats or an ACT stage 1. Sure you may have to eat $100, but its better than going to all this trouble, and finding out you hate your clutch, and having to pay to have a new one put in. Transmission work is $$$$, get it right the first time.

brillo -- that's good advice. I think i'm alreay taking a $100 hit if i sell it. But many that have it find it that once they got used to it, they would NEVER go back to stock... so i might just keep it... i dont know as of now yet...
