Velocity Performance Module

I recently purchased a Velocity Performance Module, Part # MAZ-418. It is required to go in line with the Air Intake Thermometer and the ECU. After my friend and I installed it, my car acted as if it was starving for feul. It began idling VERY low, and wouldn't stay running. We removed the module, and restored the wiring to normal, but after that, the car would not even turn over. I need help.

I don't know anything about the part or what wiring you had to do but I would check all your connections and then reset the ECU by pulling off the negative battery cable and waiting for a minute or two to see if the computer reboots and finds what it was missing to start.

We tried pulling the battery cable to get it to reset. We even did the Hold the Odometer Reset button to get it to reset. Neither of which worked.

That thing is an over-priced piece of Ebay crap that, as you found out, is more likely to damage your car than actually give you power. It totally farks with your ECU and you end up with crap like that.

Unplug the battery and see if you can reset the ECU and give that a shot. It's also possible that you flooded your engine, in which case you need to go through the Unflood Procedure. You can find the instructions on how to do this in your Owner's Manual.

Any luck today, John? If it doesn't even turn over, we're beyond a flooding issue. Have you run through all the fuses yet? Are you showing a "check engine light" at all?

If you messed around with the ECU connections, check them again and make sure each and every one of the plugs "click"

Yes, the Check Engine light is on. Tomarrow, the 29th, me and a friend are going to run through all the fuses.

Ok, so, it was simply a blown fuse...thank God. Well, fuse replaced, car running. Also, I got to install a K&N Typhoon Intake. I like it.

Good to hear there was no major injury. Enjoy the Typhoon. I'm looking forward to hearing it at a meet!
