Did he have any thoughts on the consequences of raising the rev limit on the transmission itself?

mdw1000, what's the difference when you change your Mazmart diff /feed 4.77, is it big different in HP and TQ do you have a actual reading, anything you know is a big help. Thanks million.

The intake may be fully open at that point but the engine/transmission are still making significat power gains that are lost when shifting to the next gear. My engine does not seem to flatline untill about 8700 RPM. The a/t does not seem to mind RPMs to 8500 but beyond it does not care for.

Just reviving a thread here, got my rev limiter to 8.7k revs, but on the dyno it seems that the motor rolled over at 8k rev, after 8k there was no power gains.

Any insight on this phil?

We were still pulling power when Jeff shut it down because we were in third gear. I will go for a 4th gear pull the next time but that will be a while yet.
We are redesigning the s/c pulleys and that is a sloooow process. Jeff set the limiter to 9000 RPM
