AT owners 4 speed or 6 speed, post your TOP SPEED!
It all depends on what you have done to your 8 already. he takes in consideration what mods you have done to you 8 already and tunes it on that. so you could get more than 10hp. and tunning a car is not cheap
WHAT THE F***????????? decided to run my car last weekend on a toll road against a F'n honda , my 8 wouldn't come out of 5th gear rpms wouldn't go over 5k and everything came to a stand still at 115mph........ is it time for a tune up? or time to go back stock cause it was a whole lot fast when it was stock.
whats the highest speed an 04 auto can go with the govern speed limiter taken off from access port?
with small mods like intake/exhaust.
i know the car makes 125 but whats the highest yous have seen one go?

<-6 port, limited at 125mph. I was soft-limited, in that there was no rev-bouncing, nothing preventing me from staying at 125mph. Felt pretty sure I could have continued onto at least 130-140mph.
I consider something like the rev-limiter to a be a hard limiter. When you hit it, you bounce off, or when you hit it, there is a cut-off. The speed limiter was no such thing for me. Once I hit 125MPH, I stayed there no problem. Of course, I saw the two manuals with me continue to accelerate into the distance, but I didn't lose any power, didn't have bouncing revs, etc.
just to throw in, 6mt, 142mph coming up the 5 through Tustin, alone, going down the 58 with a full car of 170+ lb people and luggage(the little bit the trunk can actually carry) couldn't get past 131, felt like it could have maaaaaybe gone a lil more, but, was struggling.
WOW it must suck to have an automatic cause my '06 manual-142mph and thats only cause I hit traffic and had to slow down. Than again it sounds like most of you run out of flat, open road to really test it. Good thing about texas long, straight, flat roads!!!
Intrigued
6sp 2010 AT-flat straightaway, sea level, deserted country road. I just floored it when the light changed and when I hit 120, I let off. Now I guess I'll have to try to see if the 125 thing is true.
04 AT made it to 125 on a slight downgrade then hit fuel cut not even near redline. Does the limiter start kicking in a little before 125? Not until around 120 did I notice serious decrease in acceleration. Probably because 4th gear at those speeds is at too low rpm to be in the powerband, plus drag probably starts kicking in? Curious what others think of this?
I hit 127 last year when headed to Dallas from Tulsa with a group for a meet. I was really shocked it didnt hit fuel cut off or anything, just slowed back down to 120 and we cruised like that for awhile. I was really impressed by the car holding up at that speed for a long period of time. I have a 04 GT a/t
